Foreclosed home owners out for revenge

There are 478 homes in Spokane that are involved in the foreclosure process. While that’s lower than the national average, the condition former owners are leaving these homes is anything but average. KXLY4’s McKay Allen reports.

Today we drove through a residential neighborhood in the Phoenix West Valley of Arizona. We noticed even more for sale signs sprouting up. There is no positive from what we can tell. Seems that the housing crisis is still full speed ahead. Real Estate crisis does not look to be recovering as we are noticing even more homes being abandoned or being placed on the market in hopes of a miracle. If fractional reserve banking is taken into consideration, a bank only looses 10% of the amount they actually loan you. For instance, a depositor will deposit 10,000 into the bank. The bank will be able to magically lend 100,000. You buy a home for 150,000 but find it is now worth 60,000 and are working to pay the bank but you work in construction so your out of work To put food on the table, you sell the cabinets. Finally you move. The bank sells your home for 25,000. Bo hoo, poor bank.

  • LeasesAndListings

Getting Foreclosed? We’ll take your plumbing, wiring, toilets and cabinets while the home is still yours…. ha ha ha., what a great biz idea. He said its illegal to disassemble AFTER you get evicted but who said it is illegal while you still live there? …hey neighbor, replacing your windows and doors I see? …. if it’s yours, it’s no business of any realtor, neighbor or anyone else to tell you what to do with it, they aren’t the ones who lost their life savings in it after all.

  • Antithropocentric

I think it just shows that they were scummy people to begin with. Par for the course.

LOL! Too right! Read the Creature from Jekyll Island!

  • catothewiser

You can always refinance elsewhere – you are not trapped with them. Especially if you have equity in the home which he surely does.

  • catothewiser

I’m sorry to hear this. I’m with WF also. Can you not refinance with another company and get the interest down? ALSO, make sure you are not paying PPMI or whatever they are calling the SCAM where YOU pay the mortgage insurance – once you reach something like 20% equity you can drop it. I knew this and thought it was done automatically but I knew someone who didn’t realize this until refinancing.

Banks don’t have any emotions they don’t care about people. only profit and financially they would make a nice profit of your house by foreclosing on you. not only keeping the money you paid into for the 29 years but selling your home on the market. remember this next time you wanta vote for someone who wants to deregulate the banks and talks about Free Market Capitalism…!

  • occupytheworld22

  • bennybellfan

Buy the new Kindle book called “I Would Rather Have Root Canal Every Week for the Rest of My Life Than Ever Buy a House Again,” by Joel Samberg. Only $1.85. True story. Funny! Scary!

  • randroid88

Yea, I believe you are correct. I always prided myself on never missing or having a late payment since I bought my home.. I really thought that WELLS FARGO would actually help me because of that and my high credit scores. It sucks to just miss payments that I have made on purpose, just to get any consideration from them!

  • Platinum1812

@redjello2o Banks will gladly make loans to people that can’t pay if they know that they can sell off those loans for profit long before default occurs. That is essentially what the whole sub-prime debacle has been. These are the shock-waves still emanating from it.

The best example is all the loans where people were charged low, interest only payments for two years. The banks and brokers sold those loans in that time period and were not liable to anyone for the loses after they sold.

I think when it comes to real estate the best way to save is through saving on realtors commission when selling your property. If your buying why not try a new revolutionary system that helps you get a rebate of any property you buy!!!

  • JaxInvest

Great channel! Just wanted to drop in and say hi!

  • troybrownrigg

We never had any real jobs in the state. Just a bunch of house flippers trying to make a quick buck. Countrywide and the rest all to eager to loan money to anyone who had a pulse. Don’t worry the illegals will find these empty home to put 50 to 100 illegals in them overnight!

  • rudedog062

It seems to me that the working class people are the hardest hit by the bad economy. That looks like a working class track home neighborhood.

  • neanam

Well 31 years will teach you a lot so I belive you…..snookie and company seem to be in pretty good shape though

  • mja2035

This is not good for the people who still pay their mortgages. That home with the power wires behind it will especially take a financial hit. Maybe you can find out how much for these for sale homes. Have a nice day Mike.

  • MrArizonaGuy

, nope , i lived in that cesspool for 31 years , there are some nicer areas up central / north nj but most of nj is poverty level ,
If you go 1 block west of the Atlantic city casinos , you are in ghetto land ,
Nj has about the highest property taxes in America , They are antigun , everybody is on welfare / foodstamps / total ghetto land in my opinion

  • neanam

I thought most of jersey was rich with the exception of camden trenton

  • MrArizonaGuy

oh bye the way new jersey SUCKS , A communist ghetto state in shambles

  • MrArizonaGuy

  • babaloo42

it wasnt meant to be funny. im glad you have a good sense of humor. im old so i went to college years ago. you would think that a license/degree would mean something. thanks for the reply. its a hard luck life for sure. big smiley to you 🙂

  • radroofer

After the bank told me they wouldn’t work with me they tried 4 times to auction it with not so much as one bid. Then they bent over backwards to help me.

  • skyding8962

Its legal to walk up to a house and peer in through the window. I know cause my dad got pissed at some suspicious guy peeking in the vacant foreclosed home in our court and called the cops on him and the cop said there really wasnt anything they could do for that.

  • ArizonaPublic

Thats a good guess… I was thinking the same thing about the garage door… I wanted to walk up to the side of the house just to see if the copper was taken or not but didnt want to be accused of any wrong doing either… Cops over here drive unmarked everyday cars…

  • skyding8962

LMAO now that is funny. Go to college and expect a job. Thanks for the laugh kid.

  • skyding8962

If I had to guess the people that got foreclosed on scrapped the garage door for cash and threw their dirty bedbug and crab infested mattress out.

  • skyding8962

Banks are now saying for sale signs when they are actual foreclosures because they dont want to invite criminals.

  • babaloo42

its to bad you have a title next to your name.. an electrical contractor and no job. ive been to college twice and my second career choice pays the bills but i was unemployed for 5 months so i know how frustrating it is. be a good role model and go to school so you can be jobless.

  • ArizonaPublic

Me? A real estate agent?…No, Far from it. I am a unemployed electrical contractor.
