(Reuters) – Gold prices rose to an all-time high within a few dollars of 00 an ounce on Friday as the US Federal Reserve’s program to resume buying government bonds stoked inflation worries. – (Realestate.com) Renting is expected to become even more expensive due to a boost in population and a shortfall of new homes being built. For people caught up in the rental cycle, the process of securing a property at a reasonable price is likely to become trickier over the next year, a series of recent rental surveys show. – (Press TV) New records show the US homeownership during the third quarter has remained steadily unchanged, continuing to languish at its lowest level in almost 11 years. A Mortgage Credit Certificate (MCC) is a Federal Tax Credit allowing you to claim a percentage of the annual mortgage interest paid as a tax credit against your Federal Tax Liability. MCC’s are available with fixed- or -adjustable-rate mortgages such as conventional conforming (ie Fannie Mae or Freddie Mac mortgages), or FHA and VA mortgages. Tax-exempt bond financed programs are not available for use with an MCC. National Homebuyers Fund, Inc. (NHF) administers MCC programs for a variety of housing entities throughout California. Currently NHF administer a 20% MCC in San Bernardino County and a 15% MCC for Orange County. MCC applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis and upon approval are valid for the life of your loan as long as you live in the home. Your lender will submit an MCC application for you at the same time that you apply for your mortgage loan, and notify you as to whether your MCC application is accepted.
